Are you interested in helping persons with disabilities accept the challenges of participating in our beautiful outdoors?
Challenge the Outdoors, Inc. is an all-volunteer, Wisconsin, 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit corporation that hosts various events for persons with disabilities. We are interested in giving people with disabilities the opportunity to try new things and by participating break social isolation that may have developed.
Serving the nearly 200 disabled members interested in accepting new challenges by participating in hunting, fishing, shooting, archery, kayaking, professional and collegiate sports venues and a variety of social opportunities requires considerable assistance from able-bodied volunteers. 20 to 50 members may participate at each various event, which allows for visiting.
If you would like to help by participating in assisting disabled members to participate in the events planned and organized each year, WE NEED YOU!
* We need assistance recruiting landowners, assembling and placing blinds for our spring turkey hunt, fall archery, and gun deer hunts.
* Serving meals for disabled members and volunteers at events to provide a social experience and camaraderie!
* Assisting and transporting members at our spring and fall trout fishing event "Chasin' Rainbows"
* Assisting and driving vehicles carrying disabled members at our spring and fall pheasant hunt at J & H Hunt Club.
* Helping to set up and man our trout fishing pond at the Annual Youth and Ladies Day at J & H Hunt Club!
* Transporting disabled members to and helping members at our Lake Michigan Charter Fishing events.
* Transporting members to, and helping them at, sports venues; Gamblers, Blizzard, and UWGB Basketball.
