| January 2009 Jan 10 CTO Trap/Skeet shooting, Brown County sportsman's Club. “During the months of November through March disabled shooters have the choice of 1 round (50 shells) of Sporting Clays at J&H on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:00 am, or 2 rounds (50 shells) of trap/skeet on the second Saturday of each month at 12:15 pm at Brown County Sportsman’s Club. Disabled shooters may participate in both events, but CTO will pick up the cost for one event per month only. Shiocton, WI. 715 758-8134. “CTO monthly Sporting Clay Shoot for all CTO members. CTO will pay for the cost of shells and one round of Sporting Clays shooting for each Physically Challenged participant. Those eligible for funding would be Physically Challenged members, elderly members at least 65 years old, and youth under the age of 18 when accompanied by an adult family member taking part in the shoot. Non-Physically Challenged or anyone not at least 65 years of age would not be eligible for funds. Adult family members shooting with youth would not be eligible for funding unless they qualify as Physically Challenged themselves. If approved the first event would be held on the second Tuesday of July 2008 at 1: 00 p.m. and continue every second Tuesday of the month unless re-scheduled and posted in the newsletter. Shooters shall be responsible for the cost of their own food and beverages.” Footnote: We will be shooting Sporting Clays at J&H Game Farm W5810 J & H Rd. Shiocton, WI. 715 758-8134. Most of us come early (around 11:00 am) and enjoy a casual lunch at our own expense from the great J&H menu. We start gathering our equipment and loading up around 12:45 to 1:00 pm for a great afternoon of shooting. Last month it took our ten shooters about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to finish the course. Holiday Party When: 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008 Where: Sabre Lanes, 1330 Midway Road, Menasha, WI 54952 (920) 739-9161 Your Board of Directors decided to plan a Holiday Party for after the busy holidays. We all know how busy this time of year can be and hopefully all our schedules will be open for this later date. The party starts at 12:30 p.m. with a potluck lunch being served at 1 p.m. and bowling will be open until about 5 p.m. Please bring a dish to pass. CTO will be providing the main course. Several bowling alleys will be reserved for our members and there will be plenty of adaptive bowling equipment on hand as well. CTO will be picking up the cost of bowling. For those who aren’t interested in bowling we’ll have plenty of decks of cards available along with cribbage boards, yahtzee, and a few other board games as well. If you have other ideas for entertainment let us know and we’ll try to make plans accordingly. We’ll put directions and a map in the January Newsletter.
